Set default

Creation Date: March 17, 2025
Updated by: VNPT eContract's team

The "Set default" feature allows users to select a preferred VNPT SmartCA digital certificate to use when signing documents with their VNPT SmartCA account. When users have multiple certificates, setting one as default saves time since the system will automatically use that certificate whenever signing, reducing the need to select a certificate again when it’s unnecessary.

Instructions for setting a VNPT SmartCA digital certificate as default

  • Step 1: Access the "Manage user digital certificate list" screen.

  • Step 2: From the displayed list of digital certificates, search for and select the user’s digital certificate you want to set as default.

  • Step 3: Click on the "Set default" feature icon.

  • Step 4: A confirmation window for setting the selected user's certificate as default will appear. Choose "Confirm".

  • Step 5: After confirming, the system will notify that the default certificate has been successfully changed, and the digital certificate will be marked as the default certificate for the selected user.

Note
  • Only one digital certificate can be set as default at a time. If the user sets another digital certificate as default, the previously default certificate will no longer be the default.
  • If the user has only one VNPT SmartCA digital certificate, the system will automatically mark that certificate as default.
